The ruling Persian chauvinism in fractured Iran should not have access to nuclear weapons.

As an Azerbaijani activist from the occupied land of South Azerbaijan in North West Iran, I believe that accessibility to nuclear power in Iran will seriously threaten the entire region in Middle East, Asia, Russia, Israel, Europe and US, as well as the five non-Persian nations inside Iran which total a population of 55 million. Iranian nuclear development activity should make the entire world nervous.  The European Union and USA politicians believe that Iranian people are behind the government and supporting nuclear development in Iran .  The former US President, Mr. Bill Clinton in his recent speech supporting the interruption of Iranian nuclear activities says, “We have to be careful how to do it, because ironically the idea of having nuclear capability whether peaceful or military is one the things that unites Iranians”.  I would like to remind the President Bill Clinton and the entire world that there is no Iranian nation as there was no Soviet Union or Yugoslavian nation, because a collection of several nations inside one border cannot generate a new nation.

There is no identifiable Iranian cuisine, there is no Iranian music and there is no Iranian language, because there is no Iranian nation on the planet.  The present Iran is a geographical package which was wrapped by the British policy makers in 1920 for their own interests with a lifetime warranty of a few decades.  The name ‘Iran’ was taken from the Persian poet Ferdosi’s book, and for the first time in the history of the region, ‘Iran’ was put on this new geographical package in 1935 by Reza Pahlavi.  Before 1920, this region was called Qajar territories and was governed by federal system. This geographic package was composed of several nations with their own territories such as South Azerbaijani Turks, Persians, Kurds, Arabs, Lurs and Balouchies.

After 1920, Iran was introduced to the world as a Persian country.  The largest nation of South Azerbaijani Turks, with its own territories and a current population of 36 million were either ignored or introduced as Persian. Persian chauvinism in the past 85 years has denied the existence of Azerbaijani Turks and other non-Persian nations.  Persian chauvinism has methodically a system of forced assimilation on non-Persian nations since 1920.  Over the years, any nation in Iran , which opposed the national discrimination and the forced assimilation, has been faced with numerous, massive genocides and cultural genocides by the ruling Persian chauvinism in order to preserve the integrity of the country.  Persian chauvinists in Iran for years followed their cousin’s Adolph Hitler’s slogan, “One Language, One Race and One Country” which equates Farsi language, Persian race and Iran .  Persian chauvinism has dominated this fabricated country since 1920.  The Pahlavi Persian chauvinism ruled Iran until the Islamic revolution in 1979 and then the Islamic Persian chauvinism took over to this day.  No matter who governs country the Persian chauvinism still exists with a slight change in governing title.

Unfortunately, over the decades innocent Persian people were brain-washed towards the idea of chauvinism and supported the chauvinist system in Iran .  Persian people are well-trained to humiliate none-Persian people.  Today, insulting and humiliating other nations in Iran has become part of the Persian culture.  On Iranian national TV stations, non-Persian people, especially Azerbaijanis are targets of offensive jokes and humiliation. In Persian movies, negative characters such as killers, thieves, criminals, baggers, janitors and the like are depicted as Azerbaijani Turks.  Unfortunately, in past 85 years no Persian politician, Persian writer or even Persian journalist has come out to condemn the ongoing racism against the non-Persian people.  This attitude has isolated the current minority of 22 million Persian people from the 36 million South Azerbaijanis and other non-Persian nations in Iran .

The former US president Mr. Bill Clinton believes that Iranian people will unite against a possible US attack. Let me tell you Mr. President, that there is not much Iranian left to unite in Iran against the US , other than the Persian people.  If the nations of Iran united and fought against the invasion of Iraq for 8 years during 1980’s, it was simply because these nations were hopeful that once the war ended they would have the same national rights as Persian nations in Iran. These nations were hopeful that after Pahlavi’s chauvinist regime, a new fair system would govern the country fairly and all nations would have equal rights. Unfortunately the Pahlavi Persian chauvinistic regime mutated and appeared as Islamic Persian chauvinism.  The Islamic Persian chauvinism is more aggressive and even more determined than the Pahlavi chauvinism in terms of forced assimilation and Persianization of the non-Persian nations, especially the Azerbaijani nation in the occupied land of South Azerbaijan .

The Pahlavi and Islamic Persian chauvinism in their ruling time have changed names of the South Azerbaijani cities, roads, rivers, mountains, small and big cities, lakes, islands, caves and others from their original Azerbaijani Turk names to Persian names.  Persian chauvinistic system destroyed many historical sites in South Azerbaijan .  The supreme court of Islamic Persian chauvinism had ordered 80 percent destruction of the 600 year old Ark Castle in center city of Tabriz two years after the Islamic revolution, just because the old castle was esthetically displeasing.  Today, Azerbaijani Turk names for children are forbidden and not accepted by the cities’ registration offices.  Children’s names must be either Muslim or Persian.  Since 1920, speaking Azerbaijani Turk language is totally banned from public schools and offices. Anyone who wants to go to school or university must learn Farsi.  Even today, children are experiencing heavy fines and inhuman methods of physical punishment in Persian schools for requesting to, or even speaking Azerbaijani Turk language in school.  If any parents object to the humiliation or physical punishment of their children, they end up in prison with the titles of ‘anti-Persian’, ‘anti-Islam’, ‘separatists’ and ‘anti-Iranism’.  Today in year 2006, there are no schools for 36 million Azerbaijani Turks in their own language in Iran .  Azerbaijani language is considered a foreign language by Persian chauvinism and a serious threat to the integrity of Iran . Today many hundreds of South Azerbaijani activists and journalists are jailed for defending their national rights.  The Persian chauvinism has gone so far as to consider using Azerbaijan language a serious crime in Iran . The Persian chauvinist system is slowly removing Azerbaijan names from the region by creating new provinces with names other than Azerbaijani names.  Last July, a seven-year-old girl was attacked by Persian police and suffered a broken skull for saying, “long live Azerbaijan ” at Babak Castle . Babak is the national hero of Azerbaijan who fought for 25 years against Arab invaders in Azerbaijan , approximately 1200 years ago.  Every year on July 1st, hundreds of thousands of South Azerbaijanis gather at Babak Castle which is located in a mountainous region of South Azerbaijan for peaceful demonstration against Persian chauvinism and fascism.  Babak Castle is protected by UNISCO as a historical place but since 2003, every year on July 1st, the Persian chauvinism poured tens of thousands of Persian soldiers and militias troops (Besijeis) inside the protected area for military maneuvers, in order to harass the hundreds of thousands of visitors.  The officials had to bring in military personnel from the Persian regions of the country because most of the Azerbaijani police and military refused to attack or stand against their own people.  Considering the situation, I am asking Mr. President Bill Clinton, how South Azerbaijan could possibly join Persian chauvinism to protect a country which is a jail to 36 million Azerbaijani people?  South Azerbaijan has one serious enemy which is the Persian fascist system which has a primary mandate to eradicate the non-Persian nations at any cost.  Furthermore, South Azerbaijan does not consider the United States as an enemy.  A logical analysis proves that South Azerbaijan and the United States have many common interests against the Islamic Persian system.

South Azerbaijan has more than enough experience and reason not to support the ruling Persian chauvinist system.  South Azerbaijan is a nation dedicated to democracy.  It was South Azerbaijan which introduced the true Democracy to the region in 1905, 1920 and 1945 but unfortunately each time South Azerbaijan was occupied and faced with terrors in 1905, massacres and genocide by Persian military backed by British army in 1920 and 1946.

On December 12 1945, South Azerbaijan gained its independency from Iran and enjoyed a true democracy for a short time.  Exactly a year after, on December 12 1946, Shah’s Persian army backed, by British air force, stormed into South Azerbaijan and in just three days massacred more than 70 thousand women and children.  The slaughtering of innocent people continued weeks and months later. The top Persian army colonel Zenganeh, who was responsible for the attack on December 12 1946 in his book writes, “We have been ordered to eradicate the Azerbaijani Turk in the cities and villages of South Azerbaijan and we did our best.”  William Douglas in his book called, Strange land and Friendly people narrates his own experience with regards to the December 12 1946 massacre in the occupied land of South Azerbaijan as follows:  “When the Persian Army returned to Azerbaijan it came in with a roar.  Soldiers ran riot, looting and plundering, taking what they wanted. The Russian Army had been on its best behavior.  The Persian Army (the army of emancipation) was a savage army of occupation. It left a brutal mark on the people. The beards of peasants were burned and their wives and daughters raped. Houses were plundered. Livestock was stolen. The Army was out of control.  Its mission had been liberation; but it preyed on the civilians, leaving death and destruction behind.”  This was the first genocide in cold war history and there has been no acknowledgment or formal apology for this genocide.

In1981, the people of South Azerbaijan marched on the streets of the cities against the Islamic Persian chauvinism constitution and captured Radio and TV stations.  South Azerbaijan was in control of its own people for several weeks.  The Azerbaijani police and military would not take any action against their own people.  The Persian chauvinists successfully convinced the leader of the Islamic revolution, Ayatollah Khomeini, to order the total destruction of South Azerbaijani cities using air force.  This destruction never happened because an Azerbaijani religious leader, Ayatollah Sheriyatmedari stepped in and convinced the people of South Azerbaijan to restrain.

The Persian chauvinistic regime has a history of massacres and genocides of non-Persian nations within Iran .  The Persian chauvinists are documented criminals and like Saddam Hussein they are not even afraid of committing environmental crimes for their survival.  It’s been eighteen years since the extraction of uranium ore started in three regions of South Azerbaijan , with absolutely no environmental consideration.  Three months ago, a young South Azerbaijani journalist disclosed the results of his investigation aimed at uncovering to cause of increased cases of cancer in the three regions of South Azerbaijan, Ardebil , Meshkin, and several villages in a large area of the Sehend Mountain . His reports prove that hundreds of people suffering and dying from cancer, mainly stomach related cancer, are directly due to the contamination of the environment by radioactive materials used during the extraction of uranium ore and chemical dump in the three regions.  He has been jailed for disclosing the Persian chauvinism secrets to their internal and external enemies, meaning the people of South Azerbaijan and the United States of America .

Persian chauvinism openly identifies its two main enemies as being the South Azerbaijani nation and United Stated of America. The only way for Persian chauvinism to survive is to get its hands on nuclear weapon technology at any cost.  The proposed solution of forcing the Persian regime to buy its enriched uranium from Russia is a very temporary solution to stop the Persian regime from doing nuclear research. The only effective way to stop the nuclear threat by the Islamic Persian system or Iran is by the complete removal of the nuclear labs in the cities of Isfahan , Bushehr, Natanz and Arak .

The United Nations and European Union , China , Israel , Canada , Russia and the US are responsible for any compromise or double standard in dealing with Iran with regards to nuclear activities.  If the above labs are not removed, within a year or two the Persian system will dictate from the peak of the nuclear power to the world and to the non-Persian nations inside Iran .  That is the year that we should expect test-detonations of a few experimental nuclear bombs in the South Azerbaijani cities and in the oil rich Arab cities of Khuzestan for the purpose of, “One Language (Farsi) One Race (Persian) and One Country ( Iran )”.  Also, Israel will be next on their target list.

The 36 million people South Azerbaijani nation in the North and the oil rich Arab nation in South are the key nations in Iran .  A powerful force created by 85 years of Persian Pahlavi and Persian Islamic chauvinism and fascism is coming very soon to break up these two nations from Iran .  When that happens, Iran will have reached the end of its lifetime.  Without these two key nations there will be no Iran and no Persian system or Persian terrorists known as Iranian terrorists to dictate power to the region and to the world.  The result would be the lasting peace, stability, good economy, a true democracy and prosperity for each nation in the region.
