Dear Mrs Harrison,

Re       On Bail Release of Hojjet-ul-Islam Ezimi Qedimi and Our other Activists

I am endeavouring to keep you informed of our national movement, and now I am pleased to inform you that your expression of concern on Hojjet-ul-Islam. Ezimi Qedimi has been fruitful. I learned on 24 October 2005 with joy that he has been released.

We owe this success to you as the campaign of Amnesty International to safeguard prisoners of conscience and we are relieved that Mr Ezimi Qedimi is not held against his wishes anymore, even though his sufferings are not over yet. According to our best available information, he is released on bail and will be tried at a later date. The situation is that he is neither the only one suffering from the breach of his human rights nor from nonsensical bails. We know for sure that hundreds of our activists are victims of we term as the bail tactic of Iranian authorities. Thus, our campaign is not over and we need your support as ever.

Yours sincerely,

Boyuk Resuloglu
