Dear
sir,
It
is said that Alexander the Great used his genius and conquered vast
territories of the east. It was not before long until he came to realize
hard facts that dwarfed the difficulties during his conquests. This was
the problem of administering these vast territories. Inevitably he
referred to his wise teacher for a solution, reflecting on the diversity
of the nations within his domain of power but scarcity of his manpower for
their administration. His teachers solution was to deploy subservient
persons from each of the nations within his domain of power who would be
prepared to turn against his own people for the sake of power and wealth,
where they would serve even better than the conquerors.
After
the epic May 2006 Mass Protests, some of the Farsi-speaking authorities
deployed in the region were removed by the central authority as a
deceptive tactic and to diffuse the escalating protests of the oppressed
nation of (Southern) Azerbaijan and replaced them with so called
self-alienated local agents to rule the nation of (Southern) Azerbaijan;
his Excellency the Prosecutor is one such example (see Translators Note
2 for explaining the addition of the word Southern). However, this is not
a surprise, as it is usual for colonials power to rule using local agents
through the example set by the Alexander the Great and therefore
(Southern)
Azerbaijan
can hardly be an
exception.
But
the reasons for this preamble:
When I became aware that the prison authorities disowned their
responsibility and required a written order from the Prosecutor as the
condition for my legitimate right to a furlough, then in a curious way I
said well done to this system of (Iranian) justice where its greatest
achievement is the crackdown of decent voices of dissidents. This is a
system that allows the one who sanctioned the crackdown of the nation of
(Southern) Azerbaijan by a decree at the end of May 2006 and the system
that facilitated the detention of more than 3,000 sons and daughters of
the region of Savalan (see Translators Note 3 for explaining Savalan)
who were protesting rightfully for safeguarding our national integrity but
were victimized by brute forces of the Ministry of Intelligence and
security agents; basically harbouring them with a free hand to do whatever
they wished against innocent (Southern) Azerbaijanis.
What
is the system in which both the plaintiff and the interrogator are same?
It is the system, in which the authority for arbitrary acts is
entrusted in the hands of security agents and the victims have no choice
but to be engaged in creating epical history to express their existence.
It is a system, in which these local agents full of grudges have the
opportunity to have a go at the honourable sons and daughters of this
land
of
Savalan
in the service of
their Persian racist masters expressing their preparedness to carry out
the dirty business of their masters. It is now the reality that, the
satanic Persian chauvinism has put in place such a dangerous system that,
there is no more need for a direct intervention. The evidence for this is
clear, as you and the people like you are the instruments of suppression
of this oppressed nation and of yourselves. This is a nation that demands
nothing more than own national and human rights. This is a nation that
gets poorer by day due to the ongoing discriminatory economical policies.
Dear
Mr. Prosecutor, can you not see the reasons for the daily increasing of
social ailments in (Southern)
Azerbaijan
? Do you not know the
reasons for the social disintegration giving rise to filling the prisons?
I think you know well. Perhaps you have distanced yourself so far away
from the mass and your own innocent nation to the extent that you see them
worthy of your treatments. You were the impertinent one who called the
residents of the disaffected districts of the city to be uncultured
and referred to the mass protests in May 2006 as trivial. You spelt out
these very words in our first encounter. I see it necessary to capture the
key words in my response then in this Open Letter. What happened to your
deceptive and populist propagandas (keywords):
- the
government of the barefooted people the government of Mostazefan
(Translators Note: 4 to explain the word)
- I
would not exchange a hair of a mountain dweller to the whole world of
a palace dweller; and
What
happened to those revolutionary and Islamic undertakings and rhetoric!
Dear
Mr. Public Prosecutor, the Prophet of Islam kissed the toil-hardened hands
of a labourer but not of green faces of hypocrites. Have you
forgotten the witty anecdotes of the first Imam, Ali (may peace be upon
him) who argued that I did not see anyone with accumulated wealth
unless at the expense of poor fellows. Now what happened that the
defenders of human rights are spited by your Islamic system (see
Translators Note: 5)? Is it not that the substance of your system is in
conflict with the rights of the nation of (Southern)
Azerbaijan
? The very minimum is
that your encounter with (Southern) Azerbaijanis demanding our rights is
based on animosity.
Dear
Mr. Prosecutor, let me remind you the express question during our day of
interview. Addressing me, you asked: Do you in any way accept the order
of the Islamic Republic I will repeat my answer then: I do not
accept, not only Islam but any order of governance that is devoid of
justice. I hold that life is based on justice. The philosophical premises
of all religions are founded on justice. Religion is not the end but a
mean and not a mean towards exploitation, enslavement of
fellow human beings or infringements onto their rights. Instead, religion
is a mean for human beings to attain perpetual happiness. Do you know at
all that how deep a blow has been delivered against the very foundation of
the Mohammedan religion by your Islamist cult? The case for illustration
is the relentless attack of materialism using all sorts of propaganda
channels but failed to undermine the whole range of faiths selected by
masses. But then, should you wish to undo your glasses, you shall see that
the majority of the youth of this nation are not only turning away from
religion but are waging animosity against it. This is a present to this
nation by world religious authorities deploying religion as an instrument.
This has undermined in various ways their religious and national identity.
Dear
Mr. Prosecutor, in summary, the prison authority has acknowledged me that
my furlough is in your hands. But you have not cut short of any violation
of my and my familys legal and human rights. It was you who sanctioned
severe and harsh undue punishments against me and promoted them against me
in the trial courts. Again you never hesitated to deliver blows against
me. In the last undue penalty against me, you expressly ordered the
Appeal Court
to mount their punitive determination by regarding
their initial determination as inadequate. As a result, you have added
illegally an additional provision of three years of exile to banish me in
the Tabas deserts. It is interesting that this verdict was carried out in
an illegal manner as I was arrested first and without the acknowledgement
or indictment of the verdict. This was indicative of your excessive fear
and you were observing the operations from the other side of the street. I
should explain two cases (i) ambushing me during the arrest and (ii)
deporting me into the deserts, both of which have reasons.
Case 1:
In my appeal to the initial sentence by the court, I entered a
passage into my bill of defence that if Persian fascism carries on with
the oppressive behaviour with the nation of
Azerbaijan
, they shall be re-dispatched back to the deserts,
their fatherland. In have record a fact of history in that bill of defence
that even if lose my life physically in Tabas, my prediction shall
prevail, after all Persian chauvinism has lost logic, even though all
fascistic movements are devoid of logic.
Case 2:
I have also stated in my bill of appeal defence that despite the
nature of your kangaroo courts through close sessions, I can call the
participants of the May 2006 Mass Protests to bear a witness on my behalf
should I deem it necessary. You should have known that Lisani would
not allow himself to trouble the honourable population of the Savalan
only to his own end. This was nothing more than a political bluff as I
wanted to gauge the depth of your fear from the nation of (Southern)
Azerbaijan
but then you really gave away so easily. Since the
display of the democratic power during the May 2006 Mass Protests, the
nation of (Southern)
Azerbaijan
shock shelled the racist Persian body all together.
Now the sons and daughters of this nation is armed consciousness and it
will not be long before they release the last bullet to the flimsy body of
racist Persians. There is still opportunity to the governing forces to
take a 180 degree u-turn and denounce Persian racism. After all the nation
of
Azerbaijan
has proved its honourable track record to conquer any
impregnable castle.
Dear
Mr. Prosecutor, at this minute, my legal entitlements, including my
furlough, are entrusted to your authority, with a track record on flexing
powerful muscles of Persian chauvinism to crack down the sons and
daughters of Savalan during the May 2006 protests. Your victims
were simply innocent civic protesters against the abuse of the national
integrity of the honourable nation of Azerbaijani Turks waged by the
official daily newspaper,
Iran
.
It is
clear that you think that you have extinguished the voice of the May 2006
Mass Protests. However, you are ignorant of the fact that the national
movement of (Southern)
Azerbaijan
surpassed its predetermined aims for that episode.
This apparent silence has nothing to do with your power to crackdown but
it is merely a tactical measure.
Dear
Mr. Prosecutor, how could I expect you of anything, after all you
confessed in our earlier exchanges stating on your own behalf that we
are nothing but just carry out the orders received from the centre. On
this premise, how could I expect you to decide independently and without a
bias regarding my entitlement to furlough. I should mention that neither
the acknowledgements of the prison authority nor following orders of your
superiors in the Ministry of Justice are sufficient to absolve you in the
presence of God and the nation of
Azerbaijan
.
Finally,
let me purify you. God willing and with the support of the honourable
nation of
Azerbaijan
, should I remain enchained for the rest of life in
your dungeons, I will not beg for demand the rights of my nation, which I
am an individual of it. I shall wage my relentless struggle to secure my
rights. So, inspired of the honour and pride of my nation, I declare that
if my furlough is not facilitated within three days of issuing this
letter, I shall resort to an indefinite hunger strike. Should I find it
necessary, I shall transform it into a dry hunger strike and prolong it
until death. Now I have no fear to leave the world scene into the grip of
power thirty leaders, since I am not worried about the future of the
nation of Azerbaijani Turks. This is because a nation who has attained
self-consciousness will remain alive and inquisitive.
