Sayın Cənablar,

ŞİKATƏT –    2004-ÜNCÜ İLDƏKİ BABƏK QURULTAYININ QALIQ DUSTAQLARI

2004-üncü ildəki Babək Qurultayı tutuqluları ilə ilgili, hüzurlarınıza çatdırdıq ki, Güney Azərbaycanın başqa milli çalışanları da dustaq olma riskinə məruzdurlar (bax Say: 398/2006, Tarix: 16 Oxtobr 2006). Təəssüflə ən azı iki başqa milli çalışanlara qarşı bu risk indi gerçəkləşmişdir. Bunların birisi görkəmli jurnalist Əkbər Azad, və o birisi də Rəsul Qəhrəmani bəylərdir. Şikayətimizdə verilmiş qabaqkı dustaqlar haqqında dəyişiklik olmadığı üçün, onu bu şikayətdə verilən dustaqlara da şamil olmasını istərdik. Azad bəyə aid özəl verilənlər cədvəldə dərc olunmuş və Qəhrəmani bəyə aid verilənlər də əlimizə gəlincə hüzurlarınıza çatdıracağıq.

Dear sir/madam,

Re   COMPLAINT –   RESIDUAL IMPRISONMENTS OF THE 2004 BABEK ASSEMBLY PARTICIPANTS

As indicated in our Complaint letter Ref: 398/2006 on 16 October 2006, we expressed our concern that there are other participants of the 2004 Babek Assembly under the risk of imprisonment. We regret to say that this risk has been realised at least in the case of two Southern Azerbaijani activists. One of them is a prominent journalist, Mr. Ekber Azad and the other one is Mr. Resul Qehremani. As there is no change to the details of our previous complaint, we therefore wish to extend that to cover the Case of Mr. Ekber Azad and Mr. Resul Qehremani. Some of the details of the former are tabulated below for your attention but we do not yet have the details of Mr. Qehremani.

The above said letter provided you with a sufficient background, which is also true for this extension. Once again, we have not consulted with these prisoners of conscience or their representatives in extending this Complaint. It is necessary to mention this, as the authorities are intimidating activists for even very trivial reasons.

We extend this Complaint against the violations of human rights of Mr Azad and Mr. Qehremani by Iranian judges. We trust that you will decide on the best approach to ensure their immediate and unconditional release and act towards restoring their human rights. We thank you in advance for your efforts.

Yours faithfully,

Boyuk Resuloglu
