məlumata əsasən o günü Urmuda 7 nəfər gənc
Azərbaycanlı yaxalanmışdır. Onların adı
və haqlarında məlumatlar aşağıda hüzurlarınıza
çatdırılır. Rəsul Cəfəri haqqında daha geniş
məlumat əldə etdiyimiz kimi başqalarının da
barəsində bu məlumatları toplamağa çalışırıq.

THE DETAINEES IN URMU THE VICTIMS IN THE DEMOCRATIC CAMPAIGN TO SAVE MOTHER
TONGUE OF SOUTHERN AZERBAIJANIS
The
running theme in our recent letters was concerned with the democratic campaign
to save mother tongue of Southern Azerbaijanis undermined by Iranian racist
policies. We also brought to your attention that once again the authorities were
poised to resort to their monolithic policies. Regrettably, our worst fears have
come true, as the case in point is those detained on 23 September 2006 in Urmu
alone.
According
to the reliable information that we received from Urmu, seven Southern
Azerbaijani youth were arrested on the above date. Some specific information
regarding these detainees is tabulated below for your attention, including the
profile of a detained journalist. We are endeavouring to obtain the profile of
the other detainees.
Here are
seven innocent youth faced with uncertain fate. We are confident that your
campaign for their release will be an effective measure for safeguarding their
human rights.
